畜禽養殖廢水是農村面源污染的一大來源，大量排放的畜禽糞更污水日積月累，在各大城市周邊地帶形成了龐大的污染源，其中養豬廢水是污染排放主體。針對豬場沼液富合氮、磷、有機物以及營養比例嚴重失調、碳氮比極低的水質特點采用高效的生物反應器處理技術是實現原位污染控制的根本途徑。
污水處理設備通過一個運行周期內缺氧環境和好氧環境的多次交替，有效實現亞硝態氮的積累，能實現穩定的短程硝化反硝化脫氮，從而在硝化階段節省40%的氧氣消耗，在反硝化階段節省25%的有機碳源消耗，污泥產量大幅減少，反硝化反應速率大幅提高，CO2排放量減少20%/同時，間歇曝氣的運行模式下，缺氧反硝化過程中產生的堿度能及時補充好氧硝化過程中消耗的堿度，節省調堿藥劑消耗，
